I have been prescribed citalopram by my gp. I have not started taking this yet as i am concerned after reading the enclosed leaflet. How safe is this & can it really help

citalopram did nothing at all for or to me except turn me into a panda (big black circles round my eyes) , I persevered with it for month and actually felt better when I stopped taking it. that said everyone is different and it may well be just the thing to help you.

I take it, and have been on it for a number of years, with little to no side effects. it's working well for me.

I am on it, have been for several years. It has worked fine for me with no side effects.

Do you read the leaflet when you take a headache tablet, it has just the same loopy things that can happen. If you read the side effects you will get them because its in your head , they are only covering themselves the med companies they don't all happen.

Been taking these for six years, Only side affect that I had was a little weight loss.
