hi all- I am on all of the above meds. I just got geodon added today and I am a little nervouse. I have been having a lot of problems with depression, stress, physical pain and weird thoughts and dreams. Has anyone had any positive results with geodon being added to their meds?? What are the side affects ? thanks for any input.

I've been on Geodon for a long time now and the only side effect are tremors. I take 160mg. per day and the tremors are noticeable unless I'm really busy. It has been a lifesaver for me and gotten me to a point of being stable.

I'm also taking Lexapro and Abilify plus the Geodon. Good luck with the meds......give them time.

I had weird thoughts and dreams when I was on adderall. My experience and knowledge of Geodon is that it is an antipsychotic which may help the odd thoughts and dreams and Geodon typically does not have any side effects that are alarming or substantial, at least it did not for me. I would not worry about the addition of that medication as long as a psychiatrist has prescribed it. Best of Luck.

Geodon was terrible for me--it sedated me so much I feel asleep while driving! I was at work one day & a wave of exhaustion came over me & it was only 9:00 a.m. My co-workers could see it come over me & asked it I was ok. I had to get home fast & that's when I feel asleep while driving. Luckily, when my car went off the road there was gravel on the shoulder & the sound of the wheels hitting it woke me up.

I also had extreme dizziness. I broke my toe while trying to get back into bed when the room started to swirl--I hit my foot on the bed post. I was only one Geodon for 4 days & I said that was enough! I've heard of others doing well on it so everyone is different in regards to side effects, but I wish I had been warned of the possiblity of severe side effects like that. Now I'm on Abilify, Lamictal, Provigil, Concerta, Trazadone & Klonopin for bp 1. Good luck.--Suzy
