Has anyone ever had these? I've stopped taking them but am wondering if they are worth more time. I was prescribed them to take when needed but they don't seem to work very quickly. Horrible dreams inability to sleep... Anyone else had any experiences?

Do you know any other names for it? I assume it's a sleep med?

It's an old school antipsychotic and a typical Euro med (flupentixol). It has very different side effects compared to modern antipsychotics. It differs from old school antipsychotics as well in several aspects. One thing is that it has antidepressant properties.

Side effects are mostly akathisia and rigidity (typical neuroleptic side effects) and also extreme sleepiness can occur. My real life friend was on it a while, she didn't have anything but sleepiness but she could fall asleep just whenever.

It's not used a lot but sometimes docs use it when they think it's the best choice and other meds have failed. It has never been prescribed in USA.

I was prescribed it for anxiety and depression, but I've stopped taking it as it was keeping me awake. And giving me nightmares. I'm in the UK and am now stuck as I don't want to go back to Prozac ...
