My dr put me on lithium a couple days ago, and doubled it today. My mom is flipping out, and now she's got me flipping out. Please tell me there are positive experiences with it with actual people (not just in theory)!!!

There are many members here who've had positive experiences yes. Me not so much, I had a positively shytti experience which I will not delve into, for fear of making you feel worse. But yes, people have and are having good experiences and results. Please remember to have your blood work done regularly and to stay super hydrated.
Thanks for this!

Lithium worked very well for me with very few side effects (thirst mainly). My husband also took it until he became quite toxic on it (it was a very rare event for it to happen to the extent it happened to him).
Thanks for this!

Lithium has worked very well for me the short amount of time I've been on it. It's pulled me out of suicidal depression and keeps away the manic episodes. I'm very thankful for it

Thank you. My mom is the one really freaking out, but now she has me worried. Domino effect.
