Nothing except benzos will help or be effective from opiate withdrawal. It can be as bad as heroin withdrawal! depending how severe of course. Often hospitalization is required. It's serious ***** nothing like benzo withdrawal

Antidepressants take weeks to kick in and by then your gonna be totally insane. You need to see a doc asap if it's bad. unless of course your supply has ended and no way for you to get any more. Then you will need to ride out the storm and it will be very rough. heroin addicts turn to whiskey or morphine for withdrawal. Hospitals give us ativan for such withdrawals. Good luck!

tramadol.. i was on 12mgs of hydromorphone(sp?) day . and when i got sick of being on it i cold turkeyed it(wasnt one of my best choices lol) and i ended up having tramadols and i took 50mg of it and it seemed to take the edge off of the withdrawls. - fyi i was on it while i was in hospice. and my body kept requiring more of it just to not have withdrawls after being on a certain dose for a certain time period. once i got off of hospice my doc kept writing scripts. but it was working also like an adhd med would in me. along with clouding my judgement (main cause of me moving back into a bad situation again was because i was on this med and it distorted my judgement). then when i was put back on an adhd med it got bad because they reacted with eachother much like my meds do now. except i still have my brain with current meds.

Opiate withdrawal are awful. Nothing fixes you but time or go to a medical detox under doctor care. It really sucks. I weaned down to low dose opiate and I'll stay there forever because I suffer with chronic pain bug I feel your story. Good luck.

PS: try Suboxone (Google it).
