My doctor just switched me from Wellbutrin XL to Prozac without tapering. So far so good. So it is not that unsual for a straight switch for one to another. Good luck with your change.

If in doubt, call your doctor's office and check to make sure.

A lot of docs make you withdraw the full term , ENGLISH docs always say taper the full term even if ssri to ssri. but the overnight taper I got from AMERICAN forums , and always overnight taper if ssri to ssri, no sickness or withdraw or start up. But remember to have enough of your old med left , has your GP will stop the old script till its time to take the new med. I am not telling anyone to try this its something I learned myself from people who take the meds not the people that give them. It works for me it may not work for you.
