So I started taking wellbutrin to quit smoking and to easy my depression.
My doc presc. 150mg tablets. I cut that in half and titrated myself up until I reached the goal of 300mg per day since I am very sensitive to all meds.
I quit smoking without much effort after 10 days!
Super happy about that. Now the only thing that bothers me is the loss of appetite and i just feel off. Like not sedated but kind of in a neutral haze?
Very flat mood but still very depressed
I dont know much about this med. Been on just about everything else and was even on this med maybe 10 years ago but I recall not even taking it for more than a week.

Im curious how others have felt. Did the loss of appetite resolve itself?
I will admit that loosing a couple pounds was an extra bonus but I dont want to waste away. I also have no desire, taste anything for food which kind of sucks since I love food..lol. I fast unintentionaly with this med most days. I have to force myself to eat and even drink because I start feeling weak and dizzy.
I have been on it for 1 month now. At full dose about 2 1/2 weeks.

Any info or experiences would be greatly appreciated!!!

Also should add that its the generic form. Green tablets.

I also take 5mg of buspar as needed up to three times a day.

I would but unfortunately I have been on just about everything else

I cut my dose down by a half a tab. Maybe that will help.

Somethings gotta give.

I have been on it for a couple months... 300mg of SR for past 3 weeks. Taking it for low level depression and lack of motivation in certain areas due to a lack of confidence and a poor self image lately (been unemployed for a while). Felt up and down on it... some days feeling pretty good, nothing great. But other days fairly depressed with bouts of near crying. Also, have had periods of agitation and anger where I felt a lack of control. Luckily, things seem to have finally leveled off with that the past few days. Still hoping for a big uplift in mood, but motivation is a little better and I'm feeling a tad more sociable. Otherwise, my libido has gone down to almost zero which I don't mind since I am single. But it doesn't help my motivation to get out and meet new people. Also, I have had increased urination and sometimes difficulty urinating. I still feel hungry but don't need much to feel full. It's weird but food just doesn't do as much for me as it used to... but I don't even seem to care. Slowly losing weight but am glad since my activity level has gone down a lot since summer. I know this is rambling... If I still don't feel anything major in a couple weeks, I may ask to add a low dose of zoloft or something. I guess I could go up to 450mg. Maybe I am just expecting too much?

Yes, Wellbutrin can suppress the appetite which can lead to weight loss. Maybe supplement your diet with nutritional shakes. They're dense in calories and nutrients. It might be easier to drink one of those than to force yourself to eat some days. Tip: The nutritional drinks tend to taste better chilled.
