After two months of not doing too well, I feel that I finally may have a good combination for me.

I was on 100mg (x2) Topomax and 10mg (x2) Buspar (x3) for my depression and it really wasn't helping me at all but I talked him into adding Wellbutrin XL because I've been reading up on it and it's really one of the only ones to not have the negative sexual SSRI-type effects and may give me the life I need out of this deep depression i've been in. He's also upped my Topomax and Buspar. Im feeling very hopeful about this. It's been a long 2 months as Topomax has done very little alone, maybe a little leveling out but not much for the pure misery feeling. I want to feel some kind of joy again. I want to look forward to something.

Wish me luck. I'll keep you updated!

I'm not a big fan of Topamax or as they call it Dopamax, since it can make you kind of slow and dumb! I love Welbutrin SR since it's activating and helps with depression and is weight neutral!! Hope you feel better...Best of luck!!
Thanks for this!

I've heard good things about Wellbutrin and I'm hoping it kicks in and kicks me butt. I've been really down. The Topomax has been supposed to help me lose weight but no dice on that, oh well though, but like you said, no gain on the Wellbutrin, so good on that.

I had good luck losing weight on the Brand Name Topamax but the generic didn't do anything to help with weight loss. I had pretty good luck with Wellbutrin SR but couldn't afford it after the samples ran out, so I had to switch.
