I was given lamictal for seizures. my mum described my seizures but the neurologist was aggressive and disagreed insisting the description must be wrong (she doesn't believe in psychological non epileptic seizures)
I decided to come off lamictal when I had suicidal thoughts but my new neurologist asked me to have another go with it. now ive been invited to have a yearly epilepsy review with my gp, aparenly to ensure ive receiving the best level of care. I just dont know whether to take the lamictal or not and whether to be honest with my gp. they seem tired of my disgagreements about my diagnosis, theyre all convinced its epilepsy even tho ive never had an eeg and my my mums diagnosis seems much more as tho theyre pnes. |

For mood disorders, I'd only see a pdoc! Lamictal is great for Cyclothymia and Bipolar disorder. I believe it's the best anti-convulsant for it, and it's weight neutral. For daily mood stability I think Latuda is the best!! Hope that helps a little!

Lamictal is a dangerous medication that can lead to a fatal rash. Before increasing or decreasing and restarting you must contact one of your doctors so they can instruct you how to do this. Yes be honest this is one of the most important times to be honest. I am currently on lamictal.

cool. I think I will give it another go. I know, it has many strange side effects. the last time I took it I got rapid eye movement for three days which then stopped, and I get flu like symptoms, which some consider dangerous and some docs don't care so you never knw entirely what to do with it.
