I never seem to get the side effect(s) "weight loss" or "loss of appetite", that appears with all the meds I've ever been on. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
But almost always experienced, side effects such as, "fatigue, hair loss, increased appetite and/or weight gain, dry eyes, and nasal passages."
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
This wasn't a "drug question" but a whine that I now take with a sarcastic humourous outlook. LOL!!
But still, "why can't I get that one side effect, weight loss?" Only weight loss pills did that (amphetamines) for me years ago.
Oh well, like the old saying goes, "be thankful for what you have".
A common thing heard in my household, growing up.

Yes, LOL. I get the horrible side effects too. I studied my asthma med possibilities recently and decided I didn't like some of the newer ones where the side effects included "death." Side effect I never get Side effect I never get Side effect I never get So, when I had to go to the ER, which did they prescribe? That one.

I'm the same. I gained weight on the one (Abilify) that said it was weight neutral, though I have several friends who have gained on it, also. I even take Concerta (stimulant) that has weight loss listed as a side effect--didn't have that effect on me! Had thinning hair on Lithium & kidney malfunction. Double Grrrr!--Suzy

LOL!! Besides Lamictal (it's been good to me) I take Concerta, it's a stimulant, states weight loss can occur,
Grrrrrrrrrr! hasn't caused me to lose weight. Side effect I never get
Back in 2000 when they tried my first mood stabilizer, I lost hair and gained lots of weight, being on that med was short lived. Lithium gave me no negative problems, and was an excellent med, little to no weight gain. But I really needed a MS with antidepressant type qualites, cause most AD's stopped working, so that is why I prefer Lamictal, I haven't experienced any negatives from that. Everyone is different, but my whine here is about that one, would be most welcomed, side effect.
"this medication may cause weight loss". LOL!!!
Yeah, may for many but sadly, not me.
