I plan to be off of Lorazepam by first week of January. Do you think it is a good idea to start tapering Geodon after that? I currently take 60 mg Geodon. My psychiatrist had reduced it to 40 mg back in November. I had some hard time coping with my niece. My psych asked me to increase Geodon to 60 then. But I think I can better handle her now. She gets on my nerves so much. But I don't want anything to stop me from reducing the medicines. I am determined to decrease it. What do you say?

I think you should talk to your dr. That said you may need to decrease it slower. I have read several times that 20% is a safe amount but I have no experience with that med. You could go in armed with research. Ultimately it would be best to work with your dr and not listen too much to me
