I'm experiencing motor restlessness with Latuda and I just started. Now I'm at 40mg, aiming for 60mg. It is in addition to Lexapro for a vegetative depression. I took Ativan but it made me fall asleep. My shrink says Benadryl will work.

Anyone have experience with this side effect? I am wondering if it goes away once my body is used to the dose.

Hi -

I talked with my psychMD about this yesterday. He said it is common to be overstimulated on Latuda in the beginning. He said that goes away over time.

The only side effect I had from Latuda was nausea. My nausea went away after a few weeks.......D.

I had akathisia from another med at the beginning. What helped me was propranolol that was used for both this and that back then. I do they think they are more careful with prescribing it these days though.
