I was on epilim for a short while, but much preferred Lamictal. It worked much better as a mood stabiliser for me. I only went off it as I changed pdocs and the new pdoc wouldnt lie about epilepsy and give me an authority script so I could get it cheaper like the old pdoc did (I dont blame him) and it got to the point that I couldnt afford it.
The problem with lamictal is that it does take a while to get up to a theraputic dose. It has to be increased and decreased very slowly. It is a good medication though. I am now on an antipsychotic that works even better for me but I would not hesitate to go on lamictal again if it became affordable and this AP stops working. |

Yes, Lamictal is much more effective than Depakote and is weight neutral. But for daily stability an AAP is necessary and for that Latuda is a miracle drug! Best of luck!

Glad to hear...Geodon is a great AAP, or mood stabilizer, and is the only other weight neutral one as well!
