Chronic hormonal problems?

From August to November 2013, I tried three different meds to control my Bipolar Disorder. Risperdal, Seroquel, & Depakote. Risperdal caused me to lactate at a mere 0.25mg titration dose. Seroquel simply didn't do anything. And Depakote made me puke blood & I've only had one period since... I still haven't stopped lactating completely. And I have really troubling pain in my lower abdomen, like cramps, & PMS symptoms. I've taken multiple pregnancy tests & they're all negative. Could those medications have caused this? And what can I do?

FWIW: I was only on them for a short amount of time each. Risperdal, 5 weeks. Seroquel, 4 weeks. Depakote, 1 week. :/

Yes these meds could have caused this. My longterm use of antipsychotics caused me to have PCOS symptoms and caused PMDD (very severe dangerous PMS). I have a cyst that causes me pain on my Fallopian tubes too, could a cyst be the cause of your pain too? I have just had the mirena put in to try and level out my hormones as going off the antipsychotic is just not an option at this time. Have you tried going on the pill to see if that helps? Thats usually the first thing pdocs will try when you say the hormones are affecting your life.

As always, good diet (fresh food) and exercise can also help.

Be careful with birthcontrol with being bipolar. I've tried several birthcontrol pills and they caused me to become very manic, but idk how iuds work for those with bipolar. If you are currently on any anti seizure meds like lamictal for bipolar, birth control pills (not sure about iuds and the depo shot) affects those kinds of meds and you will need dosage adjustments.

I have endometriosis and it caused a complex haemorrhagic ovarian cyst which was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. Endometriosis is a common female health problem and that could be your culprit. I would talk to a gynecologist about your symptoms and other concerns.

Just went to a clinic, got an exam [nothing abnormal YAY], & have a prescription for a low-dose birth control pill. Hopefully this does the trick! It may sound backwards, but I really don't mind if it makes me a little manic. I can handle that. But depression/anxiety side-effects are where I draw the line.
