I've been on wellbutrin 150mg for about a month and I get really angry on it. I got mad sometimes before I was on this medication but now it's like super angry where it's like I'll hate the person that's driving me insane. Also I've been sleeping super weird hours. I take the medicine around 9:30 am everyday and I fall asleep around 8:30 pm for bed and wake up at 4 am in the morning, take the medicine again at 9:30 am, take a nap from 1-3 pm and then go to sleep 5 hours later. Is that normal? Have any of you had these side effects?

I would be mad if I went to bed at 8:30pm I would miss all my TV programmes , it cannot be ramping you up that much, because you sleep 9: and a half hours a day. So stop taking it is the answer.

I was on it for two, almost three years, and it never made me that mad, but it did give me the super weird sleep hours, I'd be super sleepy all the time.
maybe you could lower the dosage? or trade it for another med?

I was physically exhausted on it all the time but took a higher dosage than you. Some activating meds can cause aggression/anger so it may not be the best one for you.

I actually really like the medication., it helps so much with the depression. The sleep is annoying and I only get really angry at night if someone makes me mad. I'm on the lowest dosage right now. I tried lexapro and I was allergic. Cymbalta was to expensive so I guess I can live with the side effects

Just don't put the pills in a beer mixed like stir it up with a pill in it. I heard about someone dying from that. I was on it for a few years the purple kind with the words around it looking like a smiley face. It is suppose to make you feel happy as it did me. I really didn't have any side effects though if you are worried about it you can look it up since I have not answered 10 comments yet. You can search webmd on Google. At the top it says search type in the drug name to get more facts. Oh and I have heard it acts like a Chantix. If you get angry you might want to call a help line and they will probably get you to a doctor who is more qualified. I told my doctor I was boisterous and he said ok well you need to be on these types of medications such as xprexa and other wonderful things that made me bloated. So don't get those if they are recommended. I take lithium witch is pretty nice too it helps me be a better person :3. Ya it sounds like you do have a little bit of anger that needs management. I wasn't that angry and I had to go to anger management class. It was alright though I didn't mind. In my honest opinion do not talk about religion or politics at a group unless it is on the topic for discussion which in either way should not be readily or corresponsive. ← That is a word don't why it is squiggly lined.

Yes, it made me irritable and quick to bite people's heads off who annoyed me. I would also act out in my head that I was arguing with someone and I would imagine myself acting out violently. It went away but came back for a bit after I upped my dose to 300. I ended up quitting it a few weeks ago as I had some other side effects like no libido and urinary issues. I didn't get any great benefit from it apart from weight management. A side note is I was taking generic bupropion. Who knows, maybe the real stuff would have been different.

I've been on it for I guess four weeks now. I just realized that I have been constantly trying to keep my 'reactions and responses' in check! I really hate what this is doing to me. I just don't feel like I have a choice because the PDocs keep saying that we won't know if it will help unless you take it for at least 8 weeks. I feel miserable and unfortunately can't help it. If in the end it makes you feel better, I'd like to know...please keep updating!

I am very sensitive to side effects with medication. I have tried a few and always come back to Wellbutrin. The major side effect for me was that I lost a lot of weight. I lost 90 pounds in about 9 month. Dr. kept a close on me but I was eating just no where as much

Well it is a mild stimulant so it can cause increased anxiety and or irritability too. Often a good SSRI is needed in combination with the well. I take wellbutrin and zoloft. The zoloft counters the sides of well and the well counters the sides of zoloft. If you drink beer after taking 150mg of wellbutrin it's like drinking a energy drink with alcohol in it
