Since about 3 weeks now I have been on prozac plus welbutrin. It's not my first experience with antidepressants since ssri snri alone didn't work for me. Until now I feel no improvement. How long should I wait? For those who take antidepressants in which week did you start feeling some positive effectes?
Tell me about your experience...thank you.

With Wellbutrin I would say a few weeks for me. But everyone is different.
Thanks for this!

OK 8 weeks 2 many took me 12 weeks on PROZAC and every one was really bad. If you have the pain then wait for the gain, it happened over night for me and I simply forgot the 12 weeks of crap.

It is very good that you found something that helps you. I have been one year with venlafaxine plus the time with cymbalta prozac and sertaline, and I never stopped feeling numb, very tired all the time unabl le to think and with a crappy. memory... I realy wanted this one to work on me. But I'm losing hope.

When I was on citalopram, it almost felt immediate.

No energy, tired, etc, even after a couple Weeks, sounds frustrating. Sounds like a push into depression, not a pull out from. Numb, i was mellowed, more than i already am, just dulled pain, not lack of focus nor clarity.

No other health issues, do you?

Medications affect everyone differently. I would recommended voicing these concerns with your doctor. Ask him/her how long you, generally speaking her/his patients have waited and experienced results.
Thanks for this!

It took me about 5 weeks on Prozac (2 weeks on 20 mg; 3 weeks on 40) to start feeling moderately better. I'm still not totally baseline, but I can tell an improvement -- especially in my clarity of thinking. My mind felt like sludge before Prozac.

No one that I know to be relevant. I have a small pineal gland cyst but they say it is nothing to worry about.
