Hey guys,

Previously I was taking lithium for two years and it worked great. Side effects - hand tremor and skin rash. Even tho it would worked great I wanted to try other drugs with less side effects/no blood test. After all the drugs I came back to Lithium. One night I woke up freaking out and felt derealization. I had zyprexa to bring me back. Anyway next day I had this unbearable reaction/side effect? - extreme noise sensitivity e.g flick of light switch, phone ringing, phone txt, toilet seat up/down, doors closing. This side effects got less severe the lower I went down. I had my thyroid test done. TSH levels high. t3 t4 fine. Questions are: 1) is this a side effect of lithium? (i can't find evidence from research) 2) Could this because of my thyroid is altered 3) Do you think there is another factor involve?

I'm going to be asking these questions to my psychiatrist but would like to get your opinions if possible please. Thanks

Unheard of and rare side effects are known to happen. Everyone is affected differently because we all have different brain chemicals.
