I have suffered with anxiety, brain lock, depression and panic attacks for about 13 years. I currently has a prescription for diazepham for the panic attacks, they are that bad but I wont take a pill unless it is an absolute must.
However, I have 4 kids and lately I feel so overwhelmed and the attacks are more often. I have started counseling again, but due to its expense that causes anxiety too. My doctor recently had me on Quetiapine 100mg/day and before that Citalopram 20mg/day and HATED BOTH SO I AM NO LONGER TAKING THEM. Anyone had one that actually worked good for them without all the horrible side effects??

Citalopram worked for me, for when I first started it. Came off, was fine for a while, then heart palpitations(my major anxiety symptom) , came back. Therapy, xanax,, making sure i get sleep, look to avoid triggers, when and if possible. And the fast(er) acting med, when it's beyond my control.
Triggers can range from lack of sleep, hunger/dehydration, finance worries, kids(3), exh, court due to exh, work, etc. yoga, helps, can be done at home, even when kids are home... Sent from my LG-MS910 using Tapatalk 2 |

I've tried so many different meds, I can't remember all of them. The one that seems to help my anxiety is Klonopin.

Klonopin works well for me too, but I have to take it three times a day, not as needed. It doesn't start working very fast.

klonopin is too addictive for me and when I was on it I ended up abusing it....interestingly enough I take Valium which is in the same class being a benzo and I don't have an obsessive urge to take it and am able to just use it for anxiety.
