so i was Rxd cymbalta 30mg, havent been able to afford getting the rx from the pharmacy and my aunt gave me 47 cymbalta 60mg pills
ive read that the higher dose of cymbalta effects more norepinephrine than the serotonin, so would it be safe for me to take the 60mgs or should i wait till i can get the lower dose? im still trying to get in touch with my case manager about it but havent had any luck reaching her yet so was just wondering the psychcentral view ?

I am NOT a DR, I am a patient!!
30mg is the starting dosage. Yes it is very expensive because it is a Brand name, there is a generic form now that is less expensive. Talk with your DR, never take someone else's medication especially with what you are already taking. I have read a few of your post and I wish you wellness and joy. Your issues are deep and life will be a journey of unfolding and foretelling the truth is best. It will allow you the freedom you deserve. Sometimes words fail to describe our experiences. ![]() H.

Hi-
How long have you been on 30 mg? I started on 30 mg as the 60 mg dose made me tachy...after one month, I switched to 60 mg w/o a problem. My PNP was giving me samples...but it went generic in December, so now she cannot get them...the generic is expensive. ![]() The NP did NOT want me to spill out some of the beeds in the 60 mg capsules to make it 30 mg. Have you ever taken it?

Yes, it has helped me...but now I am going to have to switch because I have no insurance, and the generic is about $200/ month.
![]() Does Buspar help you?

buspar hasnt helped with anything - atleast to my knowledge, besides giving me headaches when i first started... doesnt help my anxiety or anything, but from what i've read it seems that buspar isnt really good for more severe cases but rather a subtle treatment for smaller cases?
its a medicine though and they all work differntly for others so i would say it probably wouldnt hurt to try it since its cheap? i know what you mean about the price... have you tried to see if you qualify for PAP on the cymbalta? im hoping since i qualified for zyprexa they will give me the cymbalta too effexor is also an snri, have you tried that one? its generic is much much cheaper and i was considering it if i dont qualify for the cymbalta pap...
