Is this the generic for Buspar? If so I have taken it and I didn't find it helpful at all. But I do have pretty severe, chronic and generalized anxiety so it may not have been strong enough.

I take 5mgs 3x a day and it helps keep the panic attacks at bay. When I see my pdoc again, I am going to ask if we can either lower the dose or go off it completely to see how I do. I feel that I am doing much better than I was when I was first put on it. My friend takes the same dosage but as a PRN, she thinks it seems to work for her that way. I hope you are able to find something that will curb your anxiety as it is no fun to live with.

I take it. 15 mg 3x a day. It helps me tremendously. I had been on Klonopin (clonazepam) for 4 years and this took its place. It also acts as an antidepressant for me. I'm far happier than I ever was on Klonopin- plus I can remember things!

My daughter has severe GAD. BuSpar works wonderfully well for her. My p-doc has talked about possibly prescribing BuSpar for me.

You want the honest straight forward answer? This drug does not work. It is a med that big pharma tried to push to avoid the problems associated with klonopin, xanax, activian. Buspar is a waste. Period
