Is there anyone who would like to discuss the medicatons they are on and what it does to help them? I take quite a few medications, but a not sure how much information is shared about that through this forum. I realize that it is very personal, but are we in this together or not?

I take 300 mg of Wellbutrin each day, 150mg morning and night. It seems to keep my spirits up. I don't seem to decend into deep depression anymore. I only have suicidal thoughts once in a blue moon, like now because I am soooo freaking bored at work so I thought I would jump on here to relieve my discomfort. Hopefully the boss doesn't catch me.

I take 45mg of Remeron at night. Also an anti-depressant, it helps me to sleep as well as to regulate my mood.

I take a women's multivitamin 2 times a day morning and night. It helps me not to stress over my nutrition to much.

These three things seem to hold the right balance for me. I still have my ups and downs but I like that. It makes me feel like I am alive. I was on Topamax for awhile, we were trying to even out my mood but it just left me feeling emotionless. I have tried prozac and celexa, neither worked for me. I was still suicidal while using them. constantly thinking about death.
Well, I gotta go there are people in my store.

I was diagnosed as being Bipolar II (mild) 2yrs ago, triggered by family problems, etc. I had been on depakote, remeron, ativan and ambian occasionally. After a year being on depakote I gained weight and lost hair, I asked my new doctor (I had moved to another state) if I can try lithium, my brother had been on it for 30yrs with no problem so I thought it would work for me too, so I take 900mgs of lithium and 20mgs of celexa, I've been on celexa a year now I had my past doctor switch me off the remeron it was too sedating so she switched me to celexa, at 40mgs I got the "jerks" so we were down to 30mg and now I down to 20mg, when I went to 10mg I started feeling down so my doc told me to go back to the 20mg. I was bummed cause I really want off of all this stuff cause I am too "mellowed", and gaining weight super fast and hey, isn't that enough to cause depression, 32lbs in 8 mos. But I will admit the lithium has worked miracles

I'm only on an anti-depressant and sleeping pills. Now 30 mg of celexa (citalopram) and I'm still kind of depressed but mostly on an even keel, not suicidal. If I get enough sleep I usually feel pretty good. I first took 100 mg of trazodone to sleep but it left me feeling hung over in the morning (and dehydrated.) Then I tried 25 mg hydroxyzine, but it didn't always work and I'd be irritable as hell the next day. Now I take 10 mg nortriptyline, which when it works is very nice in tandem with the celexa, but sometimes I'm too keyed up and can't relax anyway, or if I do I wake up and stay awake all night just like before. I hate that. Don't know if this helps.
