I am only taking 2.5 milligrams and I have had having issues with the medication I've been on the last few years. And I want to get off of it. I have an appointment with my doctor. The side effects are bothering me. I'm suffering from sleep insomnia, increased urinating, tremors. I was on Geodon for atleast a couple of weeks while in the hospital. Plus I'm getting concerned if I don't go off it. I'm feeling better. But I'm tired all the time and I can't sleep. It's getting to a point where I am tired of it. I want a ok by my doctor tomorrow to take over my SSDI. can manage my money without a stupid payee rep and that I worked into for over ten years.

Slowly lower it or under a doctor's supervision.

I totally understand since it is meant to be an activating med, maybe a little too much if you cannot sleep. Hope you will have a good convo where you can really air your concerns. Maybe you can be told to lower dosage to get less side effects? Maybe get a med without insomnia effects? I'm sure either way this can be solved. Good luck.

Abilify was a horrible med for me. I've had good luck with latuda and seroquel...

Antipsychotics should be reduced slowly to reduce likelihood of rebound psychosis.

I had no trouble coming off abilify at a much higher dose. Just taper down which is just common sense. Be sure you let your pdoc know what you are doing.
