What have your personal experiences on Adderall? Did it help ADHD? Depression?

Did you have problems with withdrawal? Addiction? Side effects?

How do you think it should be used? Is it overused?

Was/is it worth is for you to take?

Personally, not worth it. My bigger concern is my bipolar disorder, and my pdoc decided to take me off the Adderall so that my mood stabilizers could work more effectively.

I take it, and I find it helpful. I'm not addicted and take it as prescribed or less if I don't need to focus

tapatalk post.

I took it for a short time. It made me really irritable, and want to eat constantly. Some meds have weird effects on me, though

My son took adderall xr for many years for adhd. It worked quite well for him. Only side effects were low appetite at lunch time and occasional sleep problems, but neither were pronounced issues.

I've taken it for a couple of years and I think it works very well. I take 60mg max per day, sometimes less but never more. I'll skip a day here and there also, just so its not in my system every day. I think it helps a lot with depression along with the ADD symptoms.

Adderall has helped me tremendously. I have ADD, depression and I'm schizo. My pdoc believes in using it for tx resistant depression. I've been on the same dose for years and have had few side effects.

My son took Adderall and it made his ADHD worse. He ended up being prescribed "a downer" which worked much better. I think it all depends on body chemistry.

There ya go, it was evil for me. I was on 60mg xr but I did end up abusing it. On 60mg I started to get paranoid, I lost about 40lbs. Would sleep maybe 2 hours a night. I just cant see this mefication being beneficial for anyone, but its different for everyone. My brain really has never been the same, I have read a tkon of articles about people having bad reactions to it and never being the same. I was better on ritalin when I was in high school after being diagnosed adhd. Then after adderall im now a full blown paranoid. Ohh well, I guess you live and you learn.

It helps with my ADHD but it has never helped my depression. I don't really like how it feels however and take a different stimulant now.

Adderall IR is a part of my prescription "cocktail" for treatment of Major Depressive Disorder. It was given to slightly increase energy and to give me extra focus, since one of my other medications makes my mind feel "fuzzy".

To me it is worth it...But highly addictive. It is easy to fall into a downward spiral of abusing it. In my experience, when I start that, I am able to stop. It's fairly easy to stop since overdoing it actually makes me feel crappy.

Also, depending on what dosage you are taking, sometimes depression hits hard when you are coming off of adderall.

This is why I think it so dangerous to prescribe for depression. I am not so totally against it as I was a week or so ago however. Being so against it was based on my previous heavy meth use and the year of psychosis I went through after quitting it.
