Let's think it's not permanent. I have to think so. I'll let you know.
My dr today rxd tapering down on the lithium, which seems the likely culprit for my tremors. Are you newly rxd a med resulting in tremors side effects?

Yeah, we'll be tremor buddies, let me know. They shake so bad I can't type, can't feed myself (hands), am an invalid basically. I tried to tell my doctor. She lowered the Depakote only by 250mg though and the tremor is still there. Newly diagnosed, no. New RX, yes.

someone is going through the same thing? my hands and legs tremble so much other people see it. I can't write a letter, use a phone or the computer. When it started was when they added Verapamil to my meds it made the abilify much stronger. Please be allright
Thanks for this!

Thanks for your input here.
Meds were added yesterday including an antibiotic.
I'm not feeling swell and the shakiness and tremors have worsened tonight.
Like you, I feel like I am what? ... now incapable of using my cell phone?
At least this works for me at the moment.
I do not want to live with tremors and shakiness.

I also am not keen on the suggestion of medications for the tremors.
Duh. Add more toxic stuff to the mix I've already got?
Why don't we eliminate the culprit of the tremors? That's basic logic and good reason.
Thanks for this!

I had many meds give me temors. One was really bad, I could barely feed myself. The doctor changed the meds and things went back to normal, even though, I find most give me a little tremmor, but one I can live with.

Nope typically due to dopamine blockade and only when it's active...I had it on antipsychotics and reducing the dose by 2.5 mg got rid of it. It's not always possible to do that though and there are treatments that will work in important situations...so my doc offered me propranolol which he said sometimes surgeons will take before operating to stop hand shake. I never had it bad enough to bother with another med though but talk to your doc if it's an issue.

Hmm, worsening tremors, not good. Lifting my coffee mug, it rocked like a tilt a whirl.
(And that's with a week of tapering med. I'd think surely tremor would not increase?)

Thanks to good suggestions and your experience shared here.

All 3 of your meds can cause tremor...maybe your doc picked the wrong one to reduce?

Thanks, Sometimes.

The Cymbalta is new this week.
I'd last taken it last year with no problems.
So I do hope it's not that.

Blood lithium levels were indeed high last week, thus the taper.

I'll see pdoc next week and see what he thinks.

Thanks again.

My tremor that came from Geodon/Depakote went away after I stopped taking it. Not immediately, but it did eventually. And my tremor was horrible. At 21, I looked like I had Parkinson's and was asked multiple times daily if I was okay because it was a tremor that affected my entire body!
