So I take 150mg (I think, 1.5 pills at least) of Zoloft, and 5mg Xanax every day. Working pretty well for me, except that my concentration is non existent. My brain always has at least 5 things it's thinking about, and I can't focus on anything.

Maybe TMI, but even during sex, (best sex ever too), i'm also thinking about a customer at work, changing the oil on the car, things that make it so the side effects of Zoloft really get me. Makes me last a ton longer, so benefits for her, and great with me, as long as I'm able to orgasm too, which is only 25% of the time or so.

So, my Dr. prescribed Wellbutrin XL in addition to what i'm currently taking. He said it should help my focus, help my depression, but may make me more anxious than without it. Hopefully the combo of Zoloft & Xanax will negate that effect.

Anyone combining Zoloft & Wellbutrin? Any good or bad stories about it?

I wish I could help but I don't know. Wellbutrin worked great for me but I was on it without other meds.

Hope you get the answers you're looking for

Good Luck

I did the Zoloft, Wellbutrin thing about 7 years ago.
Ditched the Zoloft. Did not dig that "wierd orgasmic thing" it did. Made me hyper too. Don't need that.
Welbutrins still alright I guess. Too afraid to not take it.

Wellbutrin will help you achieve orgasm quicker and more reliably; it is used to treat sexual dysfunction from SSRI's

I was on paroxetine at 40mg a day among many other meds, and had to drop my dose to 20mg because of side-effects, primarily sexual in nature. I then added bupropion extended release at 150mg to the list, switched the SSRI to escitalopram, titrated up to 30mg (OCD), and things became much, much more tolerable. I had been on paroxetine for five years.

I've been on WellButrin XL for about a month now. It does help with the sexual side effects of Zoloft. BUT

These last couple weeks I have been *really* depressed. There are things going on of course, but my question is, can an anti-depressant make you depressed? There's no way for me to know, but it seems to me that the Zoloft alone would not have let me be this depressed.

So, it could be that all the stress i've been dealing with for the last 6 months has finally hit me, and it has nothing to do with the medication, and just a coincidence that I started taking WellButrin. What do you think?

I too have recently had Wellbutrin added. I'm hoping it counters the sexual side effects of Effexor. I think I'm nearly impotent right now. But my pdoc mainly perscribed it because I am so dull with the meds I'm on...just very blah and flat.

I'm on 375mg Effexor and 750mg Depakote.

I'm going to start taking 150mg Wellbutrin XL next week.

I'm on my 3rd day of Wellbutrin XL now, and I feel like crap. I feel queasy, nervous, anxious, and sometimes I feel like I'm seeing, hearing, or feeling things that aren't there, which seems wild because I haven't had problems with hallucinating.

I hope it gets better quick.

Just FYI but WellButrin SR (slow release?) is available in generic for those of us $$$ deprived. I tried the XL but did just as well on the generic SR. WellButrin can cause insomnia, which I have had some trouble with.
