Hi,

I'm female, 45, and I've been on various doses of Seroquel for just over a year now. It recently went fro 75 mg / day up to 200 mg and then 300 mg / day. I've noticed, my hair is really thinning on top of my forehead, and when I run my hand through my hair, hair almost always comes out.

Could this be a side effect of the seroquel? And if it is, does anyone know if the hair will grow back if I lower / stop the med?

Thanks.

I was on Seroquel and also had hair loss. I have quit taking and it does seem to be growing back. However, now I think the Warfarin I have to take is doing the same thing but not as bad.

I had some hair loss starting Risperdal. Even now, my temples are still a little thin compared to how my hair used to be.

I'm a hairstylist, and have been for years. When I first noticed the problem I started using Nioxin. The three step system really works.

Joico Clinicure is another good one, too.

Both of these products are safe and don't contain minoxidil. They work by purifying the scalp and promoting growth of weak hairs. Medications can buildup on the scalp and in the hair, so using products like these can really help.

If nothing else, it's really good shampoo
Thanks for this!
