For those of you on this med for depression, what was your experience with it? If it worked, how long did it take? I've been in a severe depression since last August. Will probably start Brintillex in early July, since the fetizma I'm on now isn't doing jack.

Thanks for any input.

Hi newgal2, I also tried Fetzima with zero results and multiple negative side effects. Don't want to be too negative about Brintellix cuz it's new, but I'm discontinuing it after almost three weeks. It hasn't done anything for me. I generally don't do well with SSRI's, so not sure why my pdoc prescribed it. Should have just increased my dosage of Pristiq rather than switch drugs. Seems like the pdocs always want to try the latest and greatest, rather than what is best for us. Best of luck to you with Brintellix! Let me know how it goes...

iam on brintellix aint doing nothing after 4or 5 weeks I think but I never respond to a ssri in any one. guys you should try 2mg of abilify with Cymbalta that worked for me but I went up to 5mg of abilify and it worked great but I got sides but everyones different. the abilify helps boost the antidepressant. good luck to both of you. if you go with tricylic antidepressants they hit 3 neurotransmitters not just one and I like old ones like doxepin, nortriptalyine, my spelling is terrible I apologize. imipramine is great drug. ask for the old ones.
Thanks for this!
