I'm currently taking risperdal. But I thought maybe invega would be a better option. The problem with risperdal is the hunger. But bc invega is longer acting maybe the hunger won't be as bad.

Anybody on invega and what's been your experience? Thanks.

Yes I've talked to my psych nurse. She had her opinion, she's not always right, so I'm seeking other opinions....

Good luck

I've been on the oral in the past and the Sustenna injections currently. It's the best drug i have found for psychosis. The urge to overeat and weight gain have been minimal, far better than Seroquel was.

Thank you. I think I'm gonna see about invega. I don't see my psych nurse for awhile though. She'll only prescribe if I go in. As of now I'm not taking a ap. The risperdal just makes me too hungry. Ugh...I've tried so many aps, maybe I don't need one right now...sorry thinking out loud.

Second time on Invega. Been on Invega for about nine months the second go round. Has caused about 25lb weight gain. Next visit talking to my doctor about taking a break from the injections. It also leaves me very tired, no energy for anything.
