i've been taking this for about 3 weeks now. my pdoc switched me to this after another med made my depression worsen. i've read a lot of stuff about the side effects, people's experiences, and whatnot, but i was wondering if anyone could give me feedback about specific things that i've been experiencing.

1. dizziness: that's been going on for 2 days. i read that it might be associated w/high BP, but my BP has always been remarkably normal (esp. considering that my moods are not remarkably "normal" questions for Wellbutrin XL users ). Does this go away?

2. hyperactivity: my mind races a mile a minute. i sometimes have trouble talking b/c i can't finish one sentence w/out another one popping out. when i'm by myself i talk out loud to myself constantly. and i jump from subject to subject w/out any logical connection. good for my cats...they think i'm giving them a lot of attention. bad for me b/c i don't make any sense to myself. i'm concerned b/c i kind of experienced this w/the last med...and then i quickly spiraled into a deep depression. are the racing thoughts/etc ok?

thanks a lot!
peace

um...300mg.

i've been trying to figure out if i'm bi-polar (type II), but i'm not sure yet. i'm currently charting my moods to see if i have hypo-manic episodes. i'm slightly concerned b/c, as of late, my insomnia hasn't gotten better, but my mood & productivity has improved a great deal. that doesn't quite make sense to me. meh.

Hi Sky, I've been on the same drug at that dose since the beginnins of October. I can't say that I've had any of the symptoms you have. I could be dizzy from that but because of an old head injury, I have dizziness issues on a daily basis to start with. The only thing I've noticed is that my ears ring constantly. Mostly I don't notice or care but if it's dead quiet in my house, like before i go to sleep, it is quite loud. Not unbearbly so though.

It did take a few months to really see a difference, although I was so low at the beginning, any improvement was nice.
One of the reasons the doctor prescribed Wellbutrin for me was for the stimulant effect. I'm kind of sluggish to start with, so any added energy is a good thing for me.

I hope you get this figured out soon!
