Two 75mg wellbutrin once a day?

Has anyone taken it like that before?

My doc originally had me on 75mg wellbutrin(generic). Recently, upped it to 2 75mg once a day, in the morning. He told me if I cant do that then to split it up.

The bottle says 1, twice a day though. Why not just give me one pill for 150mg. so has anyone taken it like that before?

well that is interesting since it is available in the 150mg. since he gave you the option of taking it twice a day I am guessing that is why he didn't give you the one pill. I was told that wellbutrin can amp you up. maybe he was worried about this side effect or some other side effect bothering you if you took the whole dose at once so he was giving you the option of taking it twice a day. I have never had this problem with it though. take care.

Um, I believe so. Its not the wellbutrin XL or SR. Just says bupropion, its generic.

He's just giving you options for taking it as one dose or two. That's a good thing.

It will say on the bottle if it's xl or sr. Yeah 150 mg is usually the beginning therapeutic dose. He probably gave you two 75mg .So if you have an issue tou wont have to break the 150 in two. He's making it easier for you.

Typically, 75mg of Buproprion is taken once, twice or even three times a daily. Personally, I prefer Aplenzin since it's brand name Wellbutrin SR. I will only take the SR, since it suppresses the appetite! The lowest dose it comes in is 100mg.

Appetite suppression sounds amazing! Lol idk I just thought it was weird how he decided to have me take it. Well thanks for the input.

They don't make Welbutrin IR in doses above 100. It is strange that they didn't just give you SR or XL. My psychiatrist started me off with XL but I asked to try IR because I am having insomnia issues. However, he told me to take it all in the morning while I thought IR is supposed to be taken multiple times a day. Yesterday was the first day of my period and I spent all morning feeling like I was about to pass out, really woozy. It's about the 2 week mark from when I started taking IR and I'm just suspicious that waking up and taking 150mg Welbutrin IR, 10mg Adderal and 50mg caffeine all at once isn't a good idea. I need the other two to get up so on my own I'm trying 100 Welbutring IR, 10 mg Adderal and 50 mg caffeine and taking the other 50mg of Welbutrin at lunch. This may bring the insomnia back though. We'll see. I just wonder if anyone else has ever bee ntold to take all of their IR all at once in the morning like we were.
