I spent a week at the hospital psyche ward and they determined I was not schizoaffective, rather I'm just bipolar 1. That part makes me feel good, but I was forced to quit Abilify in one day. I have been on Abilify for over 10 years, at various doses, the latest at 30mg/day. Why the doctor didn't taper me down, I haven't a clue.

Here's a list of withdrawal symptoms I can report:

muscular twitches
tinnitus in the ear
diarrhea
worsening depression
really bad restless leg syndrome
fear/anxiety
irritability

You can find withdrawal symptoms of Abilify online, but the doctors say there are no side effects from getting off it. That's a bunch of bull.

That doesn't seem like good medicine to me. It is quite well known that psyche meds can have withdrawal. There have been a number of threads here on abilify withdrawal. Personally I went off 10mg cold turkey but that doesn't mean anything because I never get withdrawals.

Do you have a regular pdoc that you can talk to about it and not just the hospital. Anti psychotics are also used for bi polar I.

That is what I was thinking. Why take somebody off a medicine that is used for the diagnosis?

I'd obviously call your pdoc, then see what they recommend. In the meantime, if you just barely got off Abilify, maybe call a pharmacist and ask about restarting it again. I'm bipolar II, and was taking 30mg for awhile for mood stability. At 2.5mg-5mg Abilify works more like a anti-depressant, but at higher doses it helps with mood stability and schizophrenia.
