I have been splitting a 75 mg regular wellbutrin (per Dr. order) and taking 1/2 in the am 1/2 at night, with no problems.
I recently increased the dose and am now taking 75 mg in the am and pm. (150 mgs total) and am now having trouble sleeping through the night. Has anyone else had problems with taking wellbutrin at night ? Does that side effect go away with time? Thank you for your help |

I take 450 wellbutrin in the AM. It is a extended release called wellbutrin XL. I know it comes in 150 mg tabs. You may want to ask your pdoc about it. Although it does cost more. For awhile I was taking 450 mg of the regular wellbutrin in 2 doses. I have always taken it in the AM or split the dose AM and early afternoon. I have never taken it at night because it is known to keep you awake. Maybe your pdoc meant AM and afternoon?
