First i thought it was that it was a med i got in the ER the other night because it happened right after they gave me the phenergin but, it's been days since then, and suddenly things are double/triple vision for up close things again.. far away is just fine.

Seroquil, Lamictal, vyvanse, or viibyrd?

all i have been on for more than a year pretty much. almost 2 years... the vyvanse i've been on for the most part for 6 years.

They list blurred vision and double vision as potential side effects of Phenergan... which does have a half-life of 16-19 hours.. so even if it's been a few days I'd be suspicious that's the culprit. It does also suggest you consult with a doctor if you get that effect.

I used to get wonky vision effects when I regularly took Topamax. Unsettling. Hope it's better for you soon.

From personal experience (600mg/day for 8 years), Lamictal is notorious for double vision and vertigo.

seroquel is really bad with making peoples eye sight worse unfortunately. although I did find it rather interesting.. I had an optomertrist apt one day (whilst I was on seroquel) and usually my eyesight has been fine over the years but suddenly they were almost as bad as my mums!!! since coming off seroquel though I've had another eye test and my eyes are in good health again!

it's weird what psych meds can do.

if you or anyone have eye tests its really important to let the optomertrist know what meds you are on and how long you have been on them for so they can keep track of how your eyes are and if they are getting worse due to certain meds or not!

well.. i'm supose to be getting new eyeglasses every 6 months (because with physical conditions my eyes get worse anyways), but medicaid in the state where i'm at wont pay for it except for once every 5 years. I still have 1 year to go.
once i get a pdoc, i'm thinking on asking about seeing if i can get off of the seroquel for sleep and take something less... deteriorating. (i'm boney, yet i weight more than i ever had in my life - 209lbs and people think i weigh only 120 or 130lbs. , and messes with other issues).
*crosses fingers* I hope i can get a pdoc soon.

again, thanks everyone

EDIT: It seems to have been the afterlife of the phenergin, because i haven't had anymore wacky vision since that last time(when i posted the first post) lol

Lamictal is notorious for blurry vision. I've been on it for almost 3 years and my vision got noticeably more fuzzy when I hit 300 mg. Of course, I have to take into consideration that I'm well past 50 and diabetic to boot, but I really have noticed the difference in the past year since my dosage was increased.
