Did people find that you put on weight? If so, was it natural or was it because it increased your appetite.

Thank you for your experiences with this drug x

pretty common problem with it I think. I don't take AAP's so I am not sure. I think some of them are weight neutral. It is talked about quite a bit in this section.

The first time I was on Zyprexa, I was insanely hungry all the time and gained about 25 lbs. in the first month. I only stayed on it for four months. Now I've been back on it for over 7 months and have gained about 15 lbs. in that time....not too bad for me, which is a good thing because I'm probably going to be on it for quite a while longer. It's the one drug which has gone the farthest toward stabilizing my moods, so it's not going anywhere. I'm diabetic so I also have to watch my blood sugars, which for the most part have been OK.

I've been on Zyprexa over a year and I got to be the heaviest I've ever been. I think it's due to increased appetite though. I'm sure I could lose weight if I tried, I lost weight on Risperdal, but that didn't make me quite as hungry as zyprexa (now I'm on both)

I was on it roughly a month and I gained 20+ lbs . I wanted to eat my sofa, Non stop hunger, was not a good match with my anorexia.

I did sleep really really well while taking it.
