I started Lithium and Seraquel one week apart. Taking both in the evening and It's been about a month.

About 4 pm every day I get sick. My stomach hurts, I have tremmors, anxiety wich is not normal for me. I do take wellbutron in the morning but I have taken that for some time. Any Idea what is making me sick... like I have the flu? I feel like I am going to have a heart attack... flushing sweats. I am assuming it is anxiety. Yuk! Anyone else has something like them happen to them?

Have you had your lithium level checked lately?

I agree with Halliebeth to check your lithium levels. I don't know anything about Seroquel, but I do take lithium and my pdoc told me to stop taking it for a day if I had an upset stomach, and to stop taking it altogether if my hands start shaking. Not saying that's what it is in your case, but it is possible. Best to check it out. Get your levels checked and talk to your pdoc or pharmacist.

It does sound like your lithium level might be a bit high. Those are all symptoms that you get when it is high. You must eat a substantial meal before taking lithium and don't drink too much liquid when you do. If you take it on an empty stomach it can make you feel a kind of sick you don't ever want to feel. Call your doctor and tell him what's going on.

I've taken seroquel and never had any of the symptoms you describe. The timing that it happens at the same time everyday is curious. What else is going on then, what are you doing?

I vote it's the lithium.

Seroquel generally does not have any side effects accept dizziness.

If you feel like you are going to have a heart attack, that is anxiety. Sweats can be anxiety as well. Stomach can hurt from Lithium or from Seroquel or from both or from anxiety. All of that can be written off as anxiety and does not present an urgent concern.

Tremor is a neurological side effect. It is not anxiety. It can be from Lithium or from Seroquel or from both. It has to be reported to the pdoc ASAP. If tremor is from Seroquel, there are antidote medications that may make it go away. If tremor is from Lithium, there are no antidote medications and you will need another mood stabilizer.

I will refrain from commenting on the practices of pdocs who prescribe two new strong medications simultaneously... There is the confounding effect (is it from med A or from B or from both?) that you are essentially dealing with.

As others have pointed out, in the early days ("a month") of lithium medication it is important that your blood levels of it are checked frequently.

The therapeutic range of lithium is quite narrow - too little is of little benefit and too much can have undesirable side-effects. As a guide, the therapeutic blood lithium levels are in the range of 0.6 - 1.2 mmol/L.

I suggest that you get back to your prescribing doctor and ask him/her to check your blood lithium levels regularly - it may be necessary to adjust your dose up or down to make sure that your blood lithium level stays in the therapeutic range.

Also, dear, be sure you're drinking plenty of water. Too much caffeine is no bueno.

This is a trip to the doctor, as soon as possible. They are the ones that will help you, hopefully. When it's a physiological issue or even psych. problems. That may be serious. We can offer our 2 cents in a peer group setting but our anecdotal or take a swing at at it. Isn't the best way to figure out the problem.

You are taking three meds that are in different classes-NDRI, Lithium-mood stabilizer and Seroquel. Which is an AAP. Also the amount you take of these meds. are very important. Example being, some use Seroquel in low doses for sleep and start going up:
Quetiapine Reviews & Ratings at Drugs.com
Lithium for psych - Search results. Page 1 of about 606450 results
Wellbutrin - Search results. Page 1 of about 6359 results

Plus you have to add in not only what it is for but if it is instant or extended release (Wellbutrin). Please go to the the health provider or providers that are helping you!
