I have been on fluoxetine for about 3 months after a recent visit with my psychiatrist she suggested that it might be best to start on a new medication the generic of Zoloft since there isn't much signs of improvement since instarted taking any medication. Told her that I would fill the prescription later and even set an appointment to talk about what I think of the generic Zoloft. However I didn't tell her that I didn't take any medication two days prior and since that meeting and it has been about a week since I took anything. I feel fine and I don't want to take anymore medicaton. How can I tell her or just continue what I'm doing until I meet with her again

It's not at all recommended that you just stop taking any psyche med. You should slowly taper off to let your system adjust because of possible withdrawal effects. Not everyone gets them though. I personally have never had them. If you are fine after a week you are probably ok.
Whether you want to take the zoloft is totally up to you. If you don't want to take meds don't take them. Be honest with you pdoc though. Don't just go in and pretend you are taking them. That's not fair to them and not in your best interest.

Thanks for your opinion. I didn't plan on pretending that I was taking my medicine. I just wasn't going to say anything about it until i see her again. I was just wondering if what i was doing seemed ok

I think it is fine if you wait until your next appointment. If you haven't had withdrawal from stopping than you are ok. Whether you take a med is very individual. It depends how bad things are and if it benefits you.

Yes, it depends on how you are feeling. If you experience any withdrawal sympthoms call your doctor. But do ask if it is the right decision when you see her.
