Does anxiety get worse before better? I don't know if I can make it...
Thanks for this!

I took cymbalta for depression and it started to work in about 4 weeks. The only problem I had with it was weight gain. Keep holding on.

Every anti depressant I have taken has led to increased anxiety for a couple of weeks after commencement. They seem to mske me very up and down. Cymbalta worked to get me out of depression. Unfortunately like all the others I have tried they gave me intolerable sexual side effects so I discontinued.

What I have found amazing is that Fetzima hasn't had any sexual side effects for me. Every other one has. For years I didn't mind because I'm a guy....and well maybe you can figure that out. But then it got much worse. No good at all. With Fetzima it has taken awhile but I am back to normal. It's an SSNRI like Effexor which was one of the worst but with Fetzima no sexual side effects. I can't believe it and I am so happy. I should report that in the med section because it is a big trade off for us.

Cymbalta didn't do much for my anxiety, it caused too many side effects for me to feel any benefit. I spent hours obsessing about every little bodily change and was this another side effect? To be fair, I go through this with most new drugs, not just Cymbalta. Out of all the antidepressants, for me, the one that worked best on anxiety was good old Prozac. Shame it pooped
