Hi everyone ,
I just recently put on paxil by my doctor for my anxiety and depression.I read one of the side effects of paxil is drowsiness and they said to practice caution when driving behind the wheel of the car. I have to see my therapist this afternoon I'm so afraid of taking the med in the morning cuz it will cause me to not to think and react as fast as I was when I wasn't on it. I might risk losing my therapist that I been working w cuz of it. I hate taking that risk of losing my therapist cuz of me not taking the med.this causing a dilemma for me about the med . What should I do take it now or wait until after my appointment w my therapist ?

Just about every medication on the market including non psyche meds have that warning. "Be careful while operating a vehicle or heavy machinery". There are millions of people driving everyday who take anti depressants.
Taking at night is fine. Just tell your therapist you decided to take it at night. No biggy. You really won't know what side effects you may or may not get until you take it for awhile. The listed side effects mean some percentage of people got this or that. If you look at the trials that info came from it is usually a very small percentage.

I take Paxil at night and haven't had a problem with drowsiness during the day.
