I've been on Cymbalta for over a year now. It has helped a lot. I was on Effexor which made me gain 25 pounds. That was horrible. I had to taper off that and it took 6 months. After being on it for about 7 months. The worst and I will never take it gain. When my anxiety got so out of control, I was put on Buspar too. Cymbalta and Buspar has worked for me. At one point, I was on 6 pills a day. I had a timer to remember when to take my pills. Since taking a part time - telework job, I am down to 1 Cymbalta A WEEK and Buspar only as needed. By Saturday, I begin to have slight withdrawals from Cymbalta. Brain zaps, nausea, irritability, and constipation. I take my Cymbalta first thing Monday morning. Buspar is only as needed. I actually lost weight on Cymbalta and continue to lose weight as my body went from 120 to 145 on Effexor.
