Hi All. I took Anafranil for 2 weeks and got up to 150mg but had to stop because I was getting super lightheaded. It also did not help at all with depression and possibly helped a little with OCD but I am aware I didn't give it enough time. After talking with my doctor we decided to take me off of it so I haven't taken it in two days.
Anyway, I have been having serious shakiness problems. My hands are so shakey I can barely type this. Also my legs are very shakey. I called my doctor and she said to see if this is happening in a few days. My question is, is this normal with Anafranil? I also am not sure if these tremors are because the drug is still in my system or because of withdrawal from it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Did your doc tell you to just stop taking it? Tricyclics generally need to be tapered down to avoid withdrawal effects.
