I may be switching to Venafaxline (the generic of Effexor.)

Has anyone switched without any problems?

I've been on Effexor maybe 3 years.

Hi susanemily,
I've been on Pristiq almost 3 yrs, and my insurance wants me to switch to this same generic. Is your insurance prompting you to switch? I personally haven't heard much about this generic, so I will be curious to see the comments as well. Best of Luck to you...

Yes, no difference as far as I can tell.
Thanks for this!

Actually I was getting it free from Connection To Care......Pfizers website.

I haven't heard yet if I qualify again I just re-enrolled.

I'm down to about 3 days pills left. If I don't qualify I will try the generic if it is ok to switch. I should ask my doctor too.

hope someone will have some input.

I found a phone #1866 706 2400 Monday through Friday 8 to 6 Eastern time or visit www.PHAHelps.com

I called Pfizer and I am reenrolled. The Effexor arrived at my doctors office on Friday...so I am relieved.

Check out the Connection To Care ... Pfizer helps people get their med's.
Thanks for this!

Do you know if it is as expensive as it used to be? I only ask out of curiosity. I have no plans to goo back to brand name. The price of the generic has crept up.

The last time I checked I think it was around $90.00......pretty darn high.
Pfizer will even help if you have insurance and if you qualify with the financial ......you have to submit a 1040 form.
My insurance would only pay something like $5.00 for the Effexor.
They have other meds. they help with too.......Lyrica was one of them .
It's worth checking out.
