So my doctor is lowering me to half the minimum dose of my Cymbalta. (Which I'm annoyed about because I wanted to go off them entirely.) This means the pills need to be specially made or "compounded" because they are capsules. So I phone pharmacy 1 - my regular pharmacy - to see if they can do it. They can't. They send me to pharmacy 2, who also can't and they send me to pharmacy 3. Pharmacy 3 does compounding but not of MY medication. The man there also goes on to tell me how the half dose is "sub-clinical" and basically pointless to take and so-on. I call my doctor (who, it sounds like, is going to tear a strip off of the guy at pharmacy 3) and explain things. He sends me to pharmacy 4 who tells me they compound my medication (over the phone), but when I go in person they're all like "I don't think we do extended release" and they will call me in two days... UGH!!! (Also noteworthy, pharmacy 4 is hell-and-gone from both my work and my home.) In the meantime, I've been out of my Cymbalta since I saw the doctor on Thursday and I'm very dizzy (it's like my own personal roller-coaster!) and frustrated.
That's my fun with medication this week. How about the rest of you? ~Arkose-Spiral

I'm sorry that you're going through this. I have one med that has to be compounded, and there are a total of 3 pharmacies in Toronto that make it. It can be frustrating for sure.
Good luck. splitimage |

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this - hang in there - I feel you - I was on cymbalta this summer and it made me manic - it was a pain to get off of - but you will feel better - I promise!
