it could be something to ask your dr about.
i am drawing a blank on what stattera is used for. but the first thing that popped in my mind for an explanation is based on my own experience. i smoke because of my anxiety. it forces me to breathe deeply...lol...the more anxious i am the more i smoke. the last med i took increased my anxiety and started my panic attacks again which i havent had for years. so i started smoking more. so that is just an idea. i hope you figure it out. |

thanks, i hadnt thought about it...
strattera is a non-stimulant used for ADHD maybe its trying to increase my anxiety which is causing me to smoke more, interesting perspective, i hadn't thought of that

It's an epinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It can be stimulating in the way where you could get insomnia.
Epinephrine is the shut up and pay attention neurotransmitter. Concerta makes me want cigarettes like chain smoking but when I'm off the concerta I can't even be bothered to smoke one. |
