If I drink, I don't take my meds? Anyone else do this? Happy St. Patrick's Day by the way. Drink responsibly!🍻🍀

honestly????i drink on my meds unless i have been told not to. my pdoc actually told me to drink on clonopin to intensify it while flying. if the meds are sedating i am careful and if i have drank a ton i wont take them. when i started geodon which knocked me out i was worried aobut it so i called the phamacist and told him i planned on getting plowed what did he recommend and he said not to take it. but generally i dont have more than two drinks and there isnt a reaction.

I used to drink all the time on my meds. However, there were times that I did not take my medications either. I do not recommend going off meds to drink. I would just not drink. That is my opinion, but I'd be right there with everyone who drinks if I did not possibly have a bad reaction. I did pass out after two beers on geodon. I decided drinking was not the thing for me while I am on my meds. For those that do drink tonight, I hope you are safe.

I used to drink on paxil, i think paxil even increases my craving for booz. But I think drinking and mental problems and/or meds is not a good idea anyway. Nowadays drinking makes me more depressed so I decided not to drink at all. Hope I can keep it this way.

Holy cow! I used to think paxil made me want to drink!!! If I drink, I usually just don't take my night time meds, but I don't know about day time meds- especially if I over indulge and have a belly ache! Thanks for your post- interesting about the paxil.

I used to drink on meds, but I don't think its a good idea. I remember one time when I was on Seroquel XR I had, I think 3 beers at a wedding and I was super drunk and throwing up in grocery bags in the car the whole way home and up forever throwing up. I was probably lucky it wasn't worse because I was also on other meds, including Klonopin. I don't drink at all now. Plus, it kind of defeats the purpose of the meds.

I drink on wellbutrin and still take my meds the same day. I find that I need to drink a little more to get the same buzz as before and my hangovers aren't as bad as before, but I think that could be from the exercise that I have started.

I just stick to one or two beers and still take my meds. I find that I don't desire more than one usually. Before I started on meds I would drink a six pack or more a day or a whole bottle of champagne to myself. I'm glad my meds have made it so I don't feel the need to drink so much.
