I just read on the forum that there is a drug interaction between Prozac and Geodon. I have taken both in the morning at the same time for 3 days now. Apparently, it can cause changes in my heart rythm that can be deadly. I am concerned, any suggestions?

Call the pharmacy where fill them & speak to the pharmacist abt your concerns & on Monday contact your pdoc to do the same.

If you've taken for 3 days sounds to be starting new so wouldn't be a build up in your system or withdrawl issues. Hope this helps.

It's not the interaction between Prozac and Geodon. The only interaction between the two is a mildly increased risk for serotonin syndrome. The risk for heart arrhythmias is with Geodon. It can cause a prolonged QT interval (basically the interval between the beginning and end of your heartbeat) which can theoretically eventually lead to torsades de pointes, which is a deadly rhythm. It's incredibly rare. The only caution they advise is to get an EKG at baseline if pts have underlying cardiac conditions that would predispose them to a prolonged QT interval. Unless you have a heart history, I wouldn't worry about it.
