I am taking 40mg Celexa and 12mg Invega and I still feel depressed and unmotivated to do anything. People laugh around me and have fun all the time, but I still feel depressed and I just don't care. Is it normal to still feel depressed?

In my experience matching the "right" AD to the "right" person is often a matter of trial and error - the first one that I was on was, for me, worse than useless (suicidal ideation) but what I am on now is, for me, great.

Also, it is common for an AD to take a while, up to a couple of months, to kick in fully.

If you don't notice any improvement in your mood after a couple of months on Celexa and Invega then going back to your prescribing doctor to discuss trying something else with a different pharmacology would be a good plan.

Hi,

Sorry you are struggling. Are you drinking alcohol? For me ANY alcohol prevents ADs from working.
