I have been on Zoloft 100 MG for three years. I *think* the depression is stealthily creeping in. I feel more tired and sad a bit more often than I had been. I know, I know... I'm definitely going to talk to my prescribing doctor. (I also see a therapist every 2 weeks). Just wondering if anyone could share a story about being at a certain dose for more than a few years, then going up or perhaps adding a med? Why did you do it? Was there a change in your life/job/etc? or did you just start to feel icky more often? I'm feeling kind of alone right now and I have found you all so helpful in the past, for helping me feel not so "alone."
El.

I took lamictal 400mg for a long time alone then depression crept in along with anxiety worsening and my pdoc back then added Prozac to it and it helped for quit a while.
Now I take 300mg of it with other meds cause I decided to stop taking all meds and went into mania etc lol

Oh my gosh yes! Several times.
I've been on antidepressants for over 15 yrs. Forgot what I started on but the 2nd med was Prozac. Was on max dose for about 6 yrs when we started to see things had gone downhill. Changed to Effexor, I've had that bumped up twice. Last increase was 6 months ago. Increased my buspar and wellbutrin as well. Each increase was because my mood was getting worse. It also might have been because the dose I was on just wasn't effective anymore. I tried, once, to quit all my meds. Yeah. Not a good idea. Almost got fired from work. |
