Hello guys
![]() I take St. John's Wort for my MDD, and it's working well knowing how focused/powerful it is (4000mg). I think that's why it's effective, but for those who take St. Jon's Wort, have are you experienced hair loss? Because it's happening to me, and I see quite a lot of my hair falling off after I brush it. |

I've had hair loss from Cymbalta but have never taken St. John's Wort. But they both partly act on serotonin (I think--not sure about the SJW), so it's not surprising they'd have similar side effects.

![]() And yes, St. John's Wort also acts on serotonin, so is that the factor or the cause behind hair loss? Is it always because of boosting that chemical? I should Google that! Thanks again ![]() Last edited by RenouncedTroglodyte; Aug 12, 2015 at 01:04 PM. |

Hair loss can also be caused by low iron levels in your blood. That's what happened to me. See your Dr., and ask to have your Ferritin levels checked.

![]() I'll definitely discuss this with my doctor, because I can see a lot of my hair falling after a single brush, and this is stressful to me, not much, but it is giving me negative feelings. |

Hair loss can also be caused by low vitamin D, which is oddly common. A blood test would tell you a lot.
