I'm sorry things aren't going well. The Marinol seemed to be helping. I'm wondering why you went off it 2 weeks ago. Do you plan to resume taking it?

Try not to get fixated on regretting the surgery. That is a sure path to despair because the past cannot be changed. It's a done deal, and you must look at what is possible now. Changing the past is not. Wishing you could will drain mental energy away from discovering what is possible, given where you are at. More is possible than you think.

Are you getting medical follow-up that you have confidence in? Your doctors and you should be coming up with a realistic plan for you to regain lost ground. Don't automatically assume the worst, like needing a feeding tube. Are you getting any psych care? Obviously, this is very stressful. You deserve maximum support.

I hope you'll get back to us soon saying you have a plan to follow and have some hope that you can get on top of this. Don't give in to a defeatest mentality. Your energy is probably low or depleated, even, so that state of mind is easy to fall into.
