Hello everyone,

I am new to these boards. I have Bipolar 1 mixed. Also have anxiety ossues and epilepsy(been controlled for 10+ yrs). Been having an extremely tough time thr past month with going high and then low over and over, even throughout a songle day. Went to my Dr and she recommended I try Latuda 20mg a night. I am already on 200mg topomax for my epilepsy which also happens to help my mood, along with 1mg clonozipam.

My question is this, has anyonr been on Latuda or currently using it? Does it work?

Thank you for your help. I dont like meds and am nervous about taking this one with some of the research I have done.

I love l my Latuda! I'm on 40mg at bedtime, and the only side effect that I have is nausea and/or vomiting if I don't take it with food in my stomach or eat right after. It has helped get me out of a mixed state and keep me from being hypo(manic). So I think it works. My roommate is also on it, and she thinks it works too. It's one of the best mood stabilizers I've ever been on (in the top 3). Hope it helps you!

I'm on 120mg and it does it's job. I still get intrusive thoughts that are fleeting, but I wouldn't consider myself hypo or depressed. It doesn't really sedate me by itself, but I'm taking other meds that do that.
